Beverly
J. Valtierra holds a Ph.D. in psychology from California Coast
University, an MSW. in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake
University, San Antonio, Texas and B.A. in Sociology from the
University of Texas, Austin.
Dr. Valtierra is licensed in the state of Texas as a Master Clinical
Social Worker. She has taught in graduate programs at St. Mary’s
University and Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio,
Texas. Beverly has over 40 years experience counseling men and women
in all aspects of life, especially relationships. She is a sought
after speaker on women and relationships, women’s issues, relational
theory, addiction, depression and healing. She has published
articles and appeared on television to discuss mental health issues.
Joan
M. Ellis holds an M.A. and a B.A. in psychology from St. Mary’s
University in San Antonio, Texas.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed
Chemical Dependency Counselor with over 30 years experience.
Joan has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in
counseling and addictions at St. Mary’s University, San Antonio,
Texas. She is an international speaker and trainer in the areas of
addiction, counseling, group counseling, relational theory,
relationships and women’s issues. Her private practice includes
working with individuals, couples, families and groups.
She has published articles, spoken on numerous radio shows
and appeared on television to discuss various mental health issues.
